SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Excitement is in the air as the Shippensburg University basketball teams are set to host East Stroudsburg in the home conference openers for the Raiders on Saturday afternoon from Heiges Field House. The women's game at 1 p.m. will precede the men's game.
The first 2,000 fans will receive a free T-shirt and general admission tickets are just $1. Shippensburg University students will not be charged for admission but need their student ID to get in. Contests will be held at each media timeout where fans have a chance to win prizes that include cash, bookstore certificates, gift cards and merchandise. All popcorn and soda sales are also just $1.
The women's game will start at 1:04 p.m. and be broadcast by the CBS College Sports Network, which is available on Comcast channel 274, Dish Network channel 152 and DirecTV channel 613. Various sports subscription packages are required to view these channels from their respective providers.
Additionally, the women's game can be viewed through an online stream on the NCAA's Web site, which is available
here. Once logging onto the Web site, viewers should click on Video along the top of the page and make sure that the Microsoft Silverlight player is installed.
The men's game will begin approximately 20-30 minutes following the women's game and be broadcast by Shippensburg University Television (SUTV). The SUTV feed will be available on campus channel 75 and Comcast channel 21 while being simulcast on the radio through campus station WSYC on terrestrial radio at 88.7 FM and online
here.
