BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg women's soccer team dropped its first conference game of the season with a tough 1-0 road loss on Saturday afternoon at Bloomsburg. The Lady Raiders out-shot the Huskies 10-7 but could not come up with the decisive strike in a game that was played amidst a steady downpour.
Shippensburg (3-1, 1-1 PSAC East) fired eight shots on goal in the game, including three from junior Rachel Jeffrey and two from sophomore

Beth Long made one save and had her season-opening shutout streak end at 370:54.
Bloomsburg (2-0, 1-0 PSAC East) earned the victory with a goal from Kelly Modes in the 84th minute. Francis Nicoletti made seven saves for the shutout.
The Lady Raiders will host East Stroudsburg on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in another PSAC Eastern Division matchup at David See Field.
