Greenawalt Scores Lone Goal In 47th Minute to Give Shippensburg 1-0 Victory Over UPJ

Long makes four saves for seventh shutout this season

Shippensburg women's soccer sophomore forward Amanda Greenawalt scored the lone goal of the game in the 47th minute to give the Lady Raiders a 1-0 road victory on Tuesday afternoon over Pittsburgh-Johnstown. It was her fourth goal of the season. 

Shippensburg (7-3) received another strong performance in goal from senior keeper Beth Long, who earned her seventh shutout of the season while making four saves for the victory. All seven of Shippensburg's victories this season have been by shutout.

Greenawalt scored her goal just 74 seconds into the second half from a rebound off Mountain Cat goalkeeper Stephanie Paha. The Lady Raiders finished the game with a 14-11 advantage in shots and a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Shippensburg will finally end its season-long six-game road trip on Saturday with a PSAC Eastern Division clash at Millersville that begins at 3:30 p.m.
