PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Shippensburg women's tennis team opened its 2008 Fall season on Thursday afternoon with a 9-0 loss at Philadelphia University. The closest individual flight came at No. 6 singles, where sophomore Monica Berardi dropped a 6-4, 6-2 decision to Philadelphia's Sara Harris.

Shippensburg (0-1) will open its home schedule tomorrow at 3 p.m. against Chestnut Hill.
