SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Four Red Raiders posted       double figures in the team's first home game in 24 days, but Clarion       scored 26 points off 19 turnovers and earned a season sweep       over the Shippensburg University men's basketball team with an 84-62       victory on Saturday afternoon at Heiges Field House.
The loss was the ninth in nine conference games this season       for Shippensburg (6-18, 0-9       PSAC West), marking its worst start since the 1999-2000 season when its       also started PSAC Western Division play 0-9.
The Red Raiders were led by red-shirt sophomore center Derrick         Graff who posted a team-high         18 points to go along with six rebounds. It was Graff's eighth         consecutive game scoring in double figures and his 14th in the last         15.
Clarion       (13-10, 5-4 PSAC West) trailed the Red Raiders by one point, 33-32 with       4:11 to play in the first half, but used an 11-3 run to close the       half an take a seven-point halftime lead, 43-36.
The Golden Eagles stretched         the lead to 10 points over the first seven minutes of the second half       before  a 10-1 run over the next three minutes put the game out of reach.
Shippensburg once again sustained an explosive offensive       performance from their opponent as Clarion shot 65.4 percent from the       field in the       second       half and finished the game at 57.6 percent.
In its two       meetings with Shippensburg this season, Clarion       shot 58.5 percent from the field while limiting Shippensburg to 44.3 percent.
Diminutive       guard Demetrius Graham highlighted the Golden Eagle effort with a game-high       19 points and eight assists while recording three steals and       committing just one turnover.
Senior guard Alex Jones    set       the school record for three-pointers attempted in a season after his first       attempt of the         day, surpassing the mark set three years ago by red-shirt junior guard Ryan         Kraft. Kraft, who finished with         11 points, set the record during the 2004-05 season after making 55-of-175         of his three-point attempts.
Jones finished with 13 points and made 3-of-10 from behind       the three-point line to increase his season output to 63-of-185       from three-point range.
Freshman guard       Justin Minter totaled       10 points and six rebounds on Saturday and  has now scored at least       nine       points       in 11 of his       last 12 games. He finished the  week with 27 points and       10 rebounds in two games.
Lonnell Jones led the Golden Eagles with 16 points       while Ricky Henderson contributed 14 and Mike Sherry added 10.       In two games       against       Shippensburg this season, Sherry totaled 40 points and 11 assists.
Shippensburg       will play its final road game of the season on Wednesday when it travels       to California (Pa.) to take on the Vulcans       inside Hamer Hall. Game time is set for 8:00 p.m.
Game notes: The Shippensburg University men's and women's       basketball teams joined over 1,000 teams from all three NCAA divisions,       NAIA, junior college/community     college, high school and AAU who took part in the Women's Basketball Coaches     Association (WBCA) "Think Pink" initiative on Saturday. As a result     of its efforts, Shippensburg will be donating $1,543 to the Kay Yow/WBCA   Cancer Fund.
