"Food For the Hungry"

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - In an effort to help local families in need for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the men's basketball team is sponsoring its eighth annual "Food for the Hungry Game" on Monday, November 17 when the Red Raiders host the Lock Haven Bald Eagles in the team's season opener from Heiges Field House at 7 p.m.
The Red Raiders will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items prior to the game and all fans that bring a food item to donate at the game will receive free admission. The donations will then be given to the King's Kettle Food Pantry of Shippensburg.

The game will be broadcast live by Shippensburg University student radio station WSYC 88.7 FM in Shippensburg and on the Internet at www.wsyc.org.
