SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg men's soccer team put forth a vigilant effort against visiting Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon at David See Field but were doomed by two goals in the final minutes of their respective periods. The Red Raiders dropped a 2-1 decision in double overtime after Bloomsburg's Paul Lamb scored with 53 seconds left.
Shippensburg (1-10-3, 0-6-2 PSAC East) tied the game in the second half with a goal from senior
Brad Anderson, who chipped in a loose ball that was bobbled by the Husky goalkeeper. It was the second goal of the season for the senior forward.
Bloomsburg (7-5-4, 2-4-2 PSAC East) opened the scoring with a goal from Brian Farrell that came with just 49 seconds left in the first half. The Huskies finished the game out-shooting the Red Raiders 29-10, including 7-2 in the overtime periods.

Brad Patke made nine saves for the Red Raiders in the loss.
Shippensburg returns to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday from David See Field in a non-conference matchup with Shepherd.
