MANSFIELD, Pa. - Mansfield scored 44 first-half points while shooting 62.1 percent from the floor en route to a 76-56 victory over the Shippensburg University women's basketball team Wednesday night at Decker Gymnasium.

The loss snapped a seven-game win streak for the Lady Raiders (8-2) who shot just 35.9 percent from the field and were outrebounded 41-28. Of the Mountaineers' 41 rebounds, 32 were on the defensive end.

Sophomore forward Lauren Beckley notched her fourth consecutive double double and eighth in 10 games this season with 26 points and 12 rebounds, both game-highs. The nation's 13th-leading scorer, Beckley had 10 of the Lady Raiders first 16 points, but was held to just one free throw in the final 11:52.

As a team, Shippensburg had just three field goals in the final 10:05 of the first half while Mansfield (3-4) used a 26-10 run to take a 44-30 halftime lead.

The Mountaineers, who made 18-of-29 field goal attempts in the half, made five three-pointers while out-rebounding the Lady Raiders, 21-11.

Freshman forward Kasey Gardner was the only other Lady Raider to score in double figures as she finished with 11 points. She also added five rebounds.

Shippensburg will now have a nine-day break for Christmas before returning to action at the Red Roof Classic against Charleston (WV) on December 29.
