SHIPPENSBURG,   Pa. - Jahzinga Tracey scored 20 points while Indiana (Pa.) scored   30 points off 21 Shippensburg turnovers as the Crimson Hawks moved into sole   possession         of first-place in the PSAC Western Division standings with an 83-72 victory         in women's basketball Monday night at Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg (14-7, 4-2 PSAC West), who entered       the game with a half-game lead over IUP for first-place, was led by freshman       forward Lauren Beckley (Fairfield/Fairfield) who had a game-high 26 points       and 10 rebounds to total her fifth career double double.
Also, junior guard Megan           Fogle (Wrightsville/Eastern York) and senior center Shanna       Oaddams (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) added 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Lady           Raider red-shirt freshman forward Jenny Cunningham (McVeytown/Lewistown),           who was named PSAC Western Division Rookie of the Week earlier in the           day, had a career-high 10 rebounds to go along with four points while       Oaddams added nine boards.
IUP (14-6, 4-1 PSAC West) led for most of       the first half, including by as many as seven, 31-24 with 3:46 remaining,       before Shippensburg went on a 7-0 run to tie the game for the third time.       Both teams would exchange baskets on their next possessions before Siarra       Cornelius scored a lay-up off an offensive rebound with one second left       to give the Crimson Hawks a two-point lead at halftime, 37-35.
Despite shooting 53.6-percent, the Lady       Raiders committed 11 of its 21 turnovers in the first half which led       to       17 points       for IUP.
Shippensburg opened the second half on a       10-4 run with five points coming from Beckley to take its largest lead       of the game at 45-41 with 15:04 to play. Facing the same deficit with       12:12 left, 49-45, the Crimson Hawks responded with a 15-2 run to take       a nine-point, 60-51 with 7:52 remaining. They would later increase their       lead to as many as 14.
Tracey scored 16 of her 20 points in the       second half to lead Indiana (Pa.) while Cornelius, who finished with 15       points, added 11. Katie Glaws and Lauren Fisher had 14 and 13 points, respectively.       IUP has won three-straight against the Lady Raiders and nine of the last       14.
Shippensburg will now have the week off to       prepare for Edinboro who comes to Heiges Field House on Saturday. Game       time is set for 1:00 p.m. The Lady Raiders defeated the Fighting Scots       on the road earlier this season, 63-55 back on January 10. Edinboro, who       defeated Clarion this evening, hosts California (Pa.) on Wednesday.
