SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The Shippensburg women's basketball team totaled a season-high 21 assists while committing a season-low seven turnovers as it won back-to-back contests for the first time in a span of 19 games as the Lady Raiders looked impressive in an 87-61 win over Bloomsburg on Tuesday night at Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (5-4) was led by freshman forward Lauren Beckley (Fairfield/Fairfield) who scored a game-high 25 points to lead the team in scoring for the seventh time in nine games this season. She is currently averaging 22.9 points this season, tops among all players in the PSAC, and over her last six games, has averaged 27.2 points, scoring at least 24 points in all six contests.

With 24 points and 11 rebounds, senior center Shanna Oaddams (Willingboro, N.J./Willingboro) totaled her 29th career double and now has 1,205 points and 826 rebounds in 92 career games. She currently ranks 11th on the school's career scoring list and second in career rebounds as she needs 174 rebounds to become just the second player in school history with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

Beckley led four players in double figures for the Lady Raiders who had an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3:1 and shot 50.8-percent from the floor. Junior guard Megan Fogle (Wrightsville/Eastern York) and freshman center Kendra Lehman (Shippensburg/Shippensburg) each had 11 points while Lehman also added a career-high six rebounds to go along with her career-high 11 points.

Shippensburg led by as many as 28 points in the second half after leading by 13 at halftime, 44-31. Beckley scored 16 of her 25 points in the first half while Oaddams had 11.

Due to their large lead, the Lady Raiders were able to get all of their reserves quality playing time as they used all 12 players in the game with 10 playing at least seven minutes. Sophomore guard Elise Mercer (Bishopville, Md./Stephen Decator) made her first career start after having appeared in 29 of the team's 36 games over the past two seasons.

In addition, freshman guard Sheila Wasser (Tremont/Pine Grove) scored her first career point on a made free throw with 31 seconds remaining while freshman guard Alicia Glasser (Marion Center/Marion Center) made her first career field goal with a three-pointer with 1:20 to play.

Freshman guard Michelle Metz (Pottsgrove/Pottsgrove) also had a strong all-around game with five rebounds and six assists, both career-highs, to go along with four points.

For Bloomsburg (4-5), Colleen Kegerreis and Gabe Miskinis each had 14 points while Kegerreis and Kelly Joyce each had a team-high nine rebounds.

Shippensburg, who is now 39-18 against the PSAC Eastern Division under eighth-year head coach Kristy Trn, will host its second-straight PSAC crossover on Wednesday when the Lady Raiders welcome Mansfield to Heiges Field House at 6:00 p.m. The Mountaineers enter the game with a 5-3 record and in second-place in the Eastern Division standings following tonight's 68-63 loss at Lock Haven.
