2010-11 WBB Schedule

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg has released its 2010-11 women's basketball schedule. The Lady Raider squad combines 10 returning players and seven recruits that are seeking to get Shippensburg back in the playoffs this season.

Kristy Trn, the winningest head coach in Lady Raider basketball history, returns for her 12th season at the helm of the Lady Raiders. Shippensburg will open the season on Saturday, November 13 at Shepherd. The Wolf's Bus Lines Classic returns on November 19-20 with Shippensburg hosting Wheeling Jesuit and West Liberty from Heiges Field House.

Home games against West Virginia Wesleyan (December 8) and Merrimack (December 29) are included in the early portion of the schedule. The team will also face two tough opponents at the Susan G. Komen 'Shoot For the Cure' Classic on December 11 and 12 with back-to-back games against IUP and Cal.

The mandated PSAC crossover schedule begins with a weekend excursion to Edinboro on January 3 and a trip to Lock Haven the next day. SU will host Clarion and Gannon on January 8 and 9. Gannon win 37 consecutive games last season before losing its only game of the year in overtime from the Division II Final Four.

Conference play begins Wednesday, January 12 against arch-rival Kutztown from Heiges Field House. The season finale will occur at home on Saturday, February 26 against East Stroudsburg.
