SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg University head women's basketball coach Kristy Trn '93/94M has confirmed the recruitment of seven players that have agreed to attend Shippensburg University this fall. The athletes will suit up for the Lady Raider basketball program when preseason camp begins in October.

"With this recruiting class it is evident we are trying to add to the depth at the post position and try to fill some of the offensive scoring lost in the post with the graduation of All-American Lauren Beckley," Trn said of a group that features three transfer students and four true freshmen.

"From the guard positions I feel we have done a great job addressing our need for ball handlers to break the press and players that can also put pressure on ball handlers as well. With our 10 returning players, my staff is very eager to get to work and excited about the possibilities for next season."

The Lady Raiders will open the 2010-11 season on Saturday, November 13 at Shepherd. Shippensburg will host the Wolf's Bus Lines Classic on November 19-20 from Heiges Field House.
