INDIANAPOLIS – Shippensburg senior tight end Mark Rossi was recognized with an NCAA Division II Degree Completion Award after a national committee selected him on the basis of academic performance, athletic achievement and involvement in campus and community activities.

The Division II Degree-Completion Award program helps student-athletes who have exhausted their athletic eligibility with tuition to complete their undergraduate degree. In the fall, Rossi plans to complete his degree in marketing.

Rossi had a stupendous senior season with Shippensburg's PSAC Championship football squad, hauling in 24 receptions for 264 yards and nine touchdowns. He finished the regular season with seven more receiving touchdowns than all of the other starting tight ends from the PSAC Eastern Division combined. Rossi is also one of just three Red Raiders to play in all 45 games over the last four seasons.
