ATLANTA - Shippensburg University women's basketball forward Lauren Beckley was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II State Farm Coaches' All-America Basketball Team on Monday night. The all-time leading scorer in PSAC history became just the second Lady Raider in history to receive the honor more than once.

The WBCA and State Farm announced the All-America Team on Monday night in advance of the Elite Eight, which begins tomorrow. The 10-member team was selected by a vote of the selection committee. The committee is comprised of one representative from each of the eight geographical regions and a chairperson.

“I commend the committee for a job well done selecting this group of 10 players from hundreds as the best in Division II,” said WBCA CEO Beth Bass. “We would like to honor these student-athletes for their hard work.”

Beckley, the 2010 PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Year and a finalist for the Daktronics Women's Basketball All-America Team, was honored four times this season as a PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week and finished the regular season as the conference's leading scorer at 21.8 points per game. She ranks sixth in the nation in points per game and finished just 16 points short of Tracy Spencer's SU season scoring record.

In her career, Beckley scored 2,407 points through 113 career games and ranks 15th all time in Division II. She is the only player in league history to win a conference player of the year award in both divisions and one of just five players in the league with 2,000 or more career points and 1,000 or more career rebounds.

Ashley (Totedo) Swanson was a three-time All-America selection from 1997-99 while Stacey (Cunningham) Dellinger was a member of the 1983-84 team following her senior season. Beckley was also recognized following the 2007-08 season, her sophomore campaign.
