was named the PSAC Eastern Division Player of the Week on Monday afternoon by conference officials after a three-game week in which she became the PSAC's all-time leading scorer and SU's career record holder for three-pointers and free throws. It is the fourth time this season that Beckley has received the award but just the first since the start of divisional play.
Beckley, who leads the PSAC in scoring, totaled 43 points on Wednesday night from Nelson Fieldhouse to become the PSAC's all-time leading scorer as Shippensburg recorded a crucial 72-67 victory over Bloomsburg that put the Lady Raiders in position for a playoff berth.
On the same shot in which Beckley became the conference's all-time leading scorer, the Fairfield native set a second record in becoming Shippensburg University's career leader for three-pointers. She sank four three-pointers against the Huskies on Wednesday to pass Tracy Spencer despite having 100 fewer attempts in her career.
In addition to her other outstanding accomplishments on Wednesday night, Beckley tied a school record by making 21-of-25 free throws. She hit all 14 of her attempts in the second half, including four in the final 19 seconds that clinched the victory for the Lady Raiders.
On Saturday in a 12-point win over Kutztown, Beckley was once again displaying her All-American talents in front of the partisan crowd by shooting 12-of-21 from the field for 38 points (including 5-of-8 from three-point range) and making all nine of her free-throw attempts. Her success at the charity stripe resulted in another school record, as Beckley surpassed Ashley Totedo on the school's all-time free throw list.
Beckley has now made 2,354 career points, 514 career free throws and 254 three-pointers. She is 19 free throws short of becoming the PSAC record holder in that category.
Shippensburg will conclude its PSAC Eastern Division schedule this week with at 6 p.m. on Wednesday from Heiges Field House with Senior Night in addition to a 1 p.m. road matchup on Saturday at Cheyney.
