LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Redshirt freshman forward Caitlin Bamberger was named the PSAC Eastern Division Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon by conference officials after a strong pair of performances for the Lady Raider basketball team.

Bamberger provided several highlights this week for Shippensburg and had her best game to date as a post player for the Lady Raiders. Against Kutztown on Saturday, Bamberger recorded her first career double-double, totaling 11 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. She shot 4-of-7 from the field, made three free throws and had a block in 31 minutes of action.

On Wednesday against division-leading Millersville, she had three points and six rebounds in 12 minutes off the bench. Over her last six games, Bamberger has totaled 35 points and 36 rebounds while converting 17-of-25 free throw attempts.

Shippensburg returns to action at 6 p.m. Wednesday from Heiges Field House against Bloomsburg.
