2010-11 (XC only): Dell, who did not begin her cross country career until mid-way through the 2007 season, completed her eligibility in cross country as a graduate student. She placed 25th in 21:55 at the Division II Championships in Louisville to earn her third All-America cross country honor, wrapping up a streak of nine consecutive seasons (XC & T&F) with an All-America classification that began in the 2008 indoor track & field season. Dell finished fifth in 22:13 at the Atlantic Region Championships, marking her third straight All-Region finish. She also placed third in 22:14 at the 2010 PSAC Championships to mark her fourth career All-PSAC finish. Overall, Dell ran in three races during the regular season, including a 4K PR of 14:09 at the Dickinson Short Invitational. Her other races include the Division II Pre-National Meet at Tom Sawyer Park and the Division II Challenge at Kutztown.

2009-10: Dell earned three NCAA All-America honors, achieved All-PSAC honors in all seven of her events at the conference championships (winning three), set three PSAC records, and helped Shippensburg become first PSAC school to achieve a Triple Crown (XC/ITF/OTF champs). In addition to a PSAC Fall Top 10 and a PSAC Spring Top 10 Award, Dell was recognized after the season with her second consecutive CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team classification in addition to a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. She also finished the 2009-10 season as the PSAC Pete Nevins Scholar Athlete of the Year, becoming just the third woman and fourth Shippensburg athlete overall to attain this honor since its inception in 1991. All of this was achieved while student-teaching during the year. She became the only female athlete in school history to achieve Academic All-America First Team honors on multiple occasions.

XC: Dell was Shippensburg’s lone All-American at the Division II National Championships with a 21st place finish in 21:32 to cap off yet another sensational season of cross country competition. Her performance was an improvement of 62 seconds and 12 places from her performance on the snow-packed national course in 2008 at Slippery Rock. She set a new 6K PR of 20:45 with a third-place finish at the Atlantic Region Championships to earn her second-straight all-region classification. Dell also placed third at the PSAC Championships with a time of 21:54, her third consecutive All-PSAC finish. Her 6K finish of 21:00 at the Paul Short Invitational was good enough for a 24th-place effort in a primarily Division I-laden field. Additional second-place finishes came at the Alumni 4K meet and the Mountaineer 6K meet. Her success led to a PSAC Fall Top 10 Award.

ITF: Dell ran the opening leg on the distance medley relay squad that finished second at the 2010 Division II National Championships and earned All-America honors for the third consecutive year. She was also a four-time All-PSAC athlete, winning the DMR at the indoor conference championships and finishing as a runner-up in the 800, mile and 3K. Dell contributed 34 points to a Shippensburg squad that won its first-ever outright indoor conference championship. During the regular season she contributed to a PSAC record in the 4x800-meter relay.

OTF: At the 2010 Division II Outdoor National Championships, Dell finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:20.37 that broke the previous meet record and established a new all-time mark in PSAC history. She was a three-time All-PSAC athlete in outdoor competition and won two conference titles, claiming gold in the 1,500 meters and a victory in the 3K steeplechase by a margin of 10 seconds. She contributed 28 points to a Shippensburg squad that recorded a meet-record 212.5 points and was an integral factor in the program becoming the first in the history of the PSAC to achieve a Triple Crown by winning the cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field championships in the same athletic calendar year since the PSAC began sponsoring an indoor championship in 2002. During the regular season she contributed to a PSAC record in the 4x800-meter relay. Her success led to a PSAC Spring Top 10 Award.

2008-09: Mary became Shippensburg’s first CoSIDA Academic All-American in three years, earning First Team recognition, after a memorable campaign that included an indoor national championship and national meet record with the distance medley relay. She earned All-PSAC honors in all six of her track events, winning conference titles indoors at 800 meters and with the DMR, in addition to All-PSAC, All-Region and All-America finishes in cross country. Her 800-meter indoor PR broke a school record. Other academic awards included a PSAC Winter Top 10 and PSAC Spring Top 10 honor.

XC: Dell achieved national All-American status with a 33rd-place finish at the Division II National Championships. She was the second-fastest SU competitor for each of the eight races in which she competed and posted a new career-best 6K time of 21:35 at the Paul Short Invitational. Additional merits included an All-Atlantic Region certificate for a 10th-place finish and All-PSAC accolades for placing 11th at the conference meet. Dell placed second in her first 6K race of the season at the LHU Invitational and recorded three second-place finishes in meets overall.

ITF: Her 1,200-meter leg of the DMR squad helped SU win a national championship during the indoor season, as she handed the baton to teammate Shannon Hare with SU in the lead after a 3:30 split. SU's DMR time of 11:24.54 set a championship meet record. At the PSAC Championships, Dell was a conference champion in the 800 meters and with the DMR while placing third in the mile. Her 800-meter run set a school record. After the campaign, she earned a PSAC Winter Top 10 Award.

OTF: Dell earned an individual All-American certificate for the outdoor 1,500-meters along with an outdoor All-American certificate for the SU 1,600-meter relay squad. At the PSAC Championships, Dell placed second in the 800 meters, third in the 1,500 meters and third in the 3K for three All-PSAC performances. Following the season, Dell was honored academically with a CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team classification and a PSAC Spring Top 10 award.

2007-08: Mary began her streak of nine consecutive All-America seasons by serving as the anchor leg of the first distance medley relay in SU and PSAC history to break the 12-minute mark. The time was achieved during the regular season, and later the relay placed seventh at nationals for All-America honors. Outdoors, Dell ran on the All-America 4x4 relay. Along the way, she was named the Championships Co-MVP of the PSAC indoor meet after contributing five place-winning performances including league titles in the 4x4 and 4x8 relays. She added four more PSAC place-winning efforts outdoors. Her cross country debut included Top-20 finishes in all four of her races despite joining the team midway through the year.

XC: Dell made her debut on the cross country team by competing in four meets and never finishing outside the Top 20 while earning All-East Region honors. She capped off her season with a stellar performance at the NCAA East Regionals with a 13th-place time of 22:15. Dell made her debut at the 4K Dickinson Invitational and finished eighth with a time of 15:09. After shaving two seconds off her 4K time in the Elizabethtown Invitational, Dell was the team’s third-fastest competitor at the PSAC Championships with a 6K time of 24:50.

ITF: Dell was part of a then school-record setting DMR squad in track season that completed the 4,000 meters in 11:59, becoming the first team in PSAC history to break 12 minutes and qualify for nationals. At nationals, she anchored SU's first All-American relay to a seventh-place finish in 12:01. She was the PSAC Championship Co-MVP with WCU's Danielle Scardino, and her efforts were a major factor in SU tying for the PSAC Championship with Slippery Rock -- resulting in the first-ever indoor conference title for the Raiders. Dell contributed to PSAC indoor championships in 4x400 and 4x800-meter relays and ran on the second-place DMR, while individually placing third in the 800 meters and second in the mile. She also set a new indoor school record in the 400-meter run.

OTF: Dell contributed to an All-America effort in the 4x400-meter relay, as the unit placed eighth overall and finished the year having set a new school record. She was credited with a 56.2-second split. In addition to a new school record in the 800 meters, Dell added four more place-winning performances at the PSAC Championships. Her haul included second-place finishes in the 800 and 1,500 meters in addition to turns on the second-place 4x4 relay and fourth-place 4x1 relay.

2007 Outdoor Team Record: T-4th/PSACs

2006-07 (T&F only): Long before Mary made the transition into an elite mid-distance and cross country runner, she was impressing as a sprinter for the Raiders in her inaugural collegiate season. Mary began her illustrious career by being named the PSAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year after she earned three Top-10 finishes in sprint events at the conference meet.

ITF: Dell was named the PSAC Indoor Rookie of the Year after placing eighth in the 55 meters, fifth in the 200 meters and second in the 400 meters while also contributing to the fourth-place 4x4 relay. Her effort in the 400 meters set a new indoor school record and was a NCAA indoor provisional qualifier.

OTF: Outdoors, Dell earned three PSAC place-winning performances at the conference meet. She claimed fifth place in the 400 meters in addition to running on the third-place 4x1 and 4x4 relays.
