The Shippensburg University women's tennis team won three singles matches and three doubles matches on the opening day of the 2017 Bloomsburg University Invitational held at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
The invitational features players from Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg.

Catherine Miller took ESU's Devin Presby to three sets, ultimately prevailing by scores of 6-4, 2-6, 10-5. In another three-set showdown, sophomore
Madeline Carson battled to a 6-1, 4-6, 4-10 match with ESU's Liz Bartoli.

Daisy Rundio notched a win over ESU's Lauren Morrissey by scores of 6-2, 6-1, while junior
Kaylin Gallagher notched a 6-4, 6-4 win over Bloomsburg's Chloe Berridge.
In doubles, Carson and Gallagher partnered for an 8-6 win over Bloomsburg's Ashley Barebo and Cara Eschenmann. Rundio and junior
Hannah Coath teamed up for an 8-3 doubles victory over the East Stroudsburg pairing of Lauren Morrissey and Katie Rivera.

Kelsey Olsen posting an 8-5 win over ESU's Ivonna Pittman and Brianna Young.
