2010 Volleyball Schedule

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg has released its 2010 women's volleyball schedule. The Lady Raiders have reached the semifinals of the PSAC Tournament in each of the past three seasons and will be looking to build off that success this year under seventh-year head coach Leanne Piscotty.

Shippensburg opens its regular season with three straight weekends of competition at road tournaments. The Lady Raiders begin with four games at the Catawba College Invitational on September 3-4, continue with four games at the IUP Tournament on September 10-11 and compete in four games of a PSAC Crossover from East Stroudsburg on September 17-18.

The home schedule opens at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 24 against Lock Haven. The Lady Raiders host ESU the next day and also face Point Park as part of a tri-meet. Non-conference home matches during the season include tilts against Fairmont State, Shepherd and Glenville State.

Once again, all matches against PSAC opponents will count as a conference match but the league maintains its two-division format. The top four teams from the Eastern and Western Divisions will advance into the postseason. SU's final home match is against regional rival Kutztown on October 29 at 7 p.m.
