Jaime-Lyn Dacey is one of the best softball players in the history of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Dacey, starting center fielder from 2002-05, is SU’s all-time leader in batting average (.422), triples (23) and RBIs (156) while ranking second in school history for hits (264) and runs (163) and tied for fourth in stolen bases (49).
For her work on the diamond, Dacey is a two-time NFCA All-American (2005 First Team, 2004 Third Team), four-time NFCA All-Region honoree (2005 First Team, 2004 First Team, 2003 Second Team, 2002 First Team), three-time All-PSAC selection (2005 First Team, 2004 First Team, 2003 Second Team) in addition to being named the 2005 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Year and the 2002 PSAC Eastern Division Rookie of the Year.
She also excelled in the classroom. Dacey earned the prestigious honor of Academic All-America First Team as a senior, a season in which she maintained a 3.683 grade point average as an elementary education major. She was also named to the PSAC Spring Top 10 team. As a junior, Dacey was named to the Academic All-District Team.
In an incredible senior season, Dacey led the country in batting average, hitting .549. She was also ranked among the Top 10 nationally in RBIs per game (9th - 1.23/gm), triples per game (3rd, 0.23/gm) and slugging percentage (10th, .852). She broke SU single-season records for triples (11), hits (78), RBIs (58), batting average and slugging percentage.
As a junior in 2004, Dacey led all starters with a .417 batting average while pacing the team in stolen bases with 17, in triples with five, and in total bases with 96. Dacey was second on the team with 70 base hits. She also had 34 RBIs. At the 2004 NCAA Division II National Championships, Dacey was named to the All-Tournament team, batting .444 during the tournament. She drove in the winning run against Kennesaw State, and scored twice against Western New Mexico.
After graduation, Dacey played professional softball for two years with the Philadelphia Force, a team in the National Pro Fastpitch League (NPF). During that time, she also served as an assistant softball coach at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
Currently, Dacey is in her 10th year as a fourth-grade teacher at Langtree Elementary School in Hamilton Township School District in New Jersey. In 2017, she was named Langtree's Teacher of the Year.
Dacey currently resides in Langhorne. She is looking forward to her wedding this December to fiancé, TJ Siegman.
